Who we are
Rooted in rural communities and built around local ownership.
SURCOD is a local non-governmental organisation established to create lasting opportunities for improvement in the lives of rural communities in Malawi.
The organisation works particularly through community structures in Chikwawa and Nsanje, bringing together community members, traditional leaders, local government, volunteers and development partners.
Rather than delivering predetermined solutions, SURCOD supports communities to identify priorities, contribute knowledge, participate in decisions and take responsibility for sustaining the progress they create.
Integrated development
